Medical Clinic Office Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead our front desk medical office assistant team.

Job Description:

In addition to being the clinic manager, you will be a valuable part of the front desk team who will interact with patients on the phone and in person during your work hours and perform all duties of a medical office assistant.

  • Prepare work schedules for medical office assistants
  • Ensure that MOAs follow office policies
  • Act as a liaison with physicians, technicians and other staff
  • Order/purchasing office supplies
  • Communication with electronic medical records (EMR) provider
  • Maintain the clinic e-mail account
  • Assist with the development/modification and implementation of clinic policies
  • Responsible for billing, correcting billing errors.

Requirements:

  • Candidates for the position should have at least one year of experience being a clinic/office manager in a physician’s office or medical clinic.
  • We will also consider applicants who have worked for at least two years in a physician’s office or medical clinic who have not held a manager position.
  • A Medical Office Assistant Certificate from an accredited educational facility would be an asset.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) is essential.

Medical Assistant at Thornhill Clinic
We are looking for an administrative person for front desk duties. The successful applicant will work as a medical office assistant in a specialist physician’s office.

Job Description:

  • Applicant should be a quick learner
  • Must have excellent computer skill
  • Able to multi-task
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Duties will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient in-take process, communicating with patients and other health care workers on behalf of the physician.
  • Scanning documents into an electronic medical record system, and managing incoming and outgoing faxes.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work on weekends/holidays if necessary.
  • Excellent experience with MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and other office equipment
  • Medical admin certificate and/or previous experience is an asset.

There is a three-month probationary period. A contract must be signed with the clinic owner before employment starts.

Physician/Medical Assistant

Job Description:

  • Obtain patient’s medical records based on a template of questions
  • Review medication history
  • Book patient appointments.
  • Check BP
  • Produce reports and forms (using computer software)
  • Follow-up of test results

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work weekends/holidays if necessary.
  • Excellent experience with MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Proficient in use of computers and other office equipment .
  • International medical graduates are preferred.

Echocardiogram Sonographer (Echo Technician)

Job Description:

  • Perform different echocardiography modalities, including but not limited to the M-mode, 2D, Doppler and colour Doppler.
  • Work with ECG Technician to perform adult Stress test.
  • Perform all necessary measurements.
  • Prepare draft reports and record all data in the templates.
  • Notify physician of significant scan deviations that may necessitate immediate attention to the patient.
  • Work according to our clinic procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that all equipment is well kept and in good working order.
  • Perform other cross-functional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements:

  • ARDMS or equivalent certified
  • Must be willing to work weekends/holidays if necessary.
  • Excellent experience with MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Proficient in use of computers and other office equipment.

Cardiac Technician, Cardiology Technologiest (ECG Technician)

Job Description:

  • Ability to follow full protocol as per CorHealth Guidelines to perform Stress Echo tests.
  • Performs holter hookups, patient education, monitoring interpretation of the studies and providing full reports to the cardiologist.
  • Perform IV insertion for contrast agent injection.
  • Works in conjunction with other team members and to be able to prioritize, co-ordinate and complete workload
  • Demonstration of the ability to work as an integral member of the team

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated advanced arrhythmia interpretation skills.
  • Cardiac Technician diploma (or equivalent) with active registration and membership in good standing with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) .
  • Recent experience in a clinical setting performing stress echos/ exercise stress tests and holter hook ups.
  • Experience in IV insertion is a must.
  • Working knowledge of QRS and Burdick Holter Software is an asset
  • CPR training/ certification
